Athletes We Work With:
The sports medicine and injury rehab center at Occupational Kinetics focuses on acute and chronic sports related, work related, and day-to-day injuries.
Our highly trained clinicians can evaluate the client and get to the root cause of the injury to begin treatment the first day. Since our staff members participate in sports and have trained as athletes, we are very familiar with how and why injuries occur. At Occupational Kinetics you will see more than one therapist in a visit or a treatment plan to ensure we give you dedicated time and attention.
Our goal is to get you back on the field and returned to full health as fast as possible. With the use of a treatment technique called ASTYM.
“ASTYM (A-stim) treatment is a rehabilitation program that stimulates the regenerative healing process of the body. This approach is a non-invasive therapy that works fast and consistently. The ASTYM system rejuvenates muscles, tendons and ligaments. It gets rid of scar tissue problems from old injuries in a fashion previously unimaginable. We have the scientific background, data and experience that proves it.” (www.ASTYM.com).
We are Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioners. Why does Kinesio Taping work so well?
“KTM allows for full range of motion. It does not negatively affect circulation, since the”re is no wrapping, and therefore no impediment of blood flow. KTM is a “light” modality. In rehabilitative applications it works continuously, so each treatment can continue for 2 to 3 days. KTM is like having healing hands to put on the area 24 - 7. “ (http://www.kinesiotaping.com/kta/method.html)
Is about helping people live healthier, fuller lives. While typically thought of as "bone doctors", chiropractors actually focus on the nervous system and painlessly adjusting the vertebral column in order to effect the nervous system and regain proper bio-mechanical function of joints.
The intention of the chiropractic adjustment is to remove all disruptions or distortions of this energy flow that may be caused by slight vertebral misalignments. Chiropractors are trained to locate these restrictions and then to remove them, thereby restoring the normal flow of nerve energy in terms of both quality and quantity.
