Injury Prevention

A successful Injury Prevention program starts with defining the job tasks of each postion and determining the essential job functions.  Most companies have Job Descriptions but fail to include the actual Job Tasks. 

1. •Job Descriptions give a general understanding of the job and its duties.
   

2. •Job Task Analysis give a precise and scientifically calculated understanding of the actual tasks involved in a job, such as lifting, reaching, pulling, carrying, rotation, bending, crawling, etc.
   

Occupational Kinetics utilizes our Job Task Analysis to create Physical Demand Assessments that are useable tools to send with your injured worker to the doctor.  Now your physician knows exactly what the tasks of the job are and the physician doesn’t have to take the perceived tasks from the employee.  This will greatly reduce restricted duty days and lost time days.  Thus returning your workers back to the job safer and faster.  This will result in a major cash savings for your organization.

Once you have created Validated Job Task Analysis you can then utilize that to create Light Duty Programs and Post-Offer Physical Abilities Testing. Job Task Analysis can also be a useful tool when you have an Independent Medical Evaluation, Fit For Duty Test or Functional Capacity Evaluation performed.

Proactive Injury Care

Proactive Injury Care is a custom design program created by Occupational Kinetics to address injuries before they become a recordable in an effort to keep the employee at work and productive versus injured and off work.  The Proactive Program success is based on early intervention.  We can be out to see your clients with in 48 hours to do a quick assessment and give recommendations on stretches and strengthening to reduce the symptoms quickly.  If you have an employee who is having some discomfort call us we will address the discomfort and keep it from a recordable.  We can look at the job and the worker doing the job to see if we can suggest improvements.
